Miss Laura Coates
Laura Coates (MBBS, MRCS, MEd) is a Clinical Research Fellow working at Imperial College London. Her background is as a paediatric surgical registrar and she obtained her Masters in Surgical Education in 2012, studying for her dissertation the issue of public engagement. She is now working on the dissemination of hospital-based simulation out into the community, as well as several public engagement events looking at knife crime, simulated surgery and the cross-over between surgery and the arts.

Kathryn Nicholson is a registered nurse who has worked as an Education and Practice Development Co-ordinator for Theatres and as an undergraduate nurse educator.

Miss Alex Cope
Miss Alexandra Cope (MEd. FRCS PhD) is a Senior Registrar in Colorectal Surgery with an academic research interest in Surgical Education. She is interested in post-graduate surgical learning both in the workplace and in simulation and is currently an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Medical Education at University of Leeds.

Daniel is a qualified Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) who has a keen interest in ODP education. He is currently waiting to commence a position with University College London Hospital.

Ben McManus
Ben is a final year student ODP at Buckinghamshire New University. He is currently on placement in Oxford. Ben has been working in the care sector since the age of 18 with Mental Health and General experience before pursuing his career within the Perioperative environment

Margaret is a mature ODP student at Buckinghamshire New University placed within Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust. She is in her final year. She is participating in the Time Travelling Operating Theatre to highlight the importance of surgical work and the development of her profession through the years, hopefully leading to an understanding of the skill, dedication and teamwork that is required when working within theatre to ensure a seamless and pleasant perioperative journey for the patient.

Dr Alexander Scott
Dr Alex Scott (BSc MBChB FRCA FFICM) is a final year registrar with joint accreditation in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in the Yorkshire and the Humber Deanery, currently finishing his training in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. He has clinical interests in access to Intensive Care, ultrasound and echocardiography, and is a keen cyclist and amateur photographer.

Mr Jonathon Pye
Jonathan Pye (MBBS, LRCP, MRCS, FRCS (Eng), MS (Lond) ) is a retired general and upper G-I surgeon. He has had a profound interest in postgraduate surgical education, and has been Programme Director for higher surgical training in Wales. Since retirement he has been on 2 missions with Medecins Sans Frontieres in Africa.

Hazim Sadideen [BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCS (Eng)]is a registrar in plastics and reconstructive surgery. He has an interest in burns victim care and leadership qualities.

Maria Tirthdas is an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) and she is currently practising in Bristol Royal Children's Hospital.

Sarah is a student ODP at Buckinghamshire New University. She is currently on placement at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Before she commenced her training she was a financial controller. She chose to retrain due to a lifelong interest in working in healthcare, and surgery in particular.

Faye Kennett
Dr Sally Frampton
Sally has a PhD from University College London and wrote her thesis on abdominal surgery in nineteenth-century Britain. She is currently a post-doctoral research assistant at the Univeristy of Oxford, and was previously a research assistant for Prof. Kneebone looking at the history of twentieth-century surgery.

Patricia ia a mature qualified Operating Department Practitioner. She has worked with Mr Jayne for many years in the operating theatre. She specialises in breast and colorectal surgery.

Melissa Bartlett.
Melissa is a 22 year old Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)student wo is in her second year. She previously studied forensic science, however she had always wanted to pursue a carrer in healthcare. She is originally from County Durham.
